It's a nature park so there aren't many facilities. The car line to pay for parking can be 20 to 30 minutes on weekends. Arrive early to avoid the madness. We camp there with the Girl Scouts. My daughter loves the raccoons. The kayaking is really relaxing. It is nature so the occasional snake may startle you. Of course the raccoons and birds are picnic thrives. Overall a nice place to spend a day in fresh air and the sunshine.

Beautiful Park with amazing bicycle trails and a beautiful man-made Beach. The park rangers are professional as should be expected from the Florida Park Service. The only downside is that on the weekends the locals trash the place. It's not a normal weekend if you don't find at least one soiled diaper on the beach.

Great place to check out! There's trails you can walk by with multiple lanes to view different sceneries. You can also bike the trail instead if you're into cycling. There's also kayak and canoe rentals for an appropriate price if you'd like a new experience. Paddles and life vests are included in the rental! (Sometimes, canoes aren't allowed for renting if there's a wind issue-)

Went kayaking there. Brought my own kayak and gear. No real interaction with staff. Later went online to see about camping there. Impossible to get any camping booked with in 8 months

Loved the park. It's quiet with plenty to do. They have trails, a beach, cabins, camping, and pavilions for events. The views are beautiful. The kayaking was also reasonably priced. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was fine, however, if you're planning to go on a weekend you might spend 45 minutes to an hour just trying to get into the park. We rented one of their pavilions for my baby shower and more than half the guests had to wait a ridiculously long time to get into the park. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning an event on a weekend.
